Intellectual Property

The purpose of this page
This page explains the distinction between ortlux’s identity and original work, the rights associated with the brands whose products we sell, and your use of those materials. Buying a product or viewing a product page does not transfer ownership of its intellectual property to you.
For permissions concerning website text, images, downloads, automated extraction, machine learning training and user-submitted content, read our Copyright Notice. The provisions on that page remain separate from the product-related rights explained here.
The ortlux name and logo
We claim rights through use in the ortlux name and logo. They identify our business. Any rights we can enforce depend on applicable law; this statement does not claim that the name or logo has completed a registration process.
Do not present your business, website, social account or communication as ortlux, or use our identity to suggest approval, partnership or an official relationship that does not exist. An accurate reference to ortlux is different from representing yourself as ortlux. Uses permitted by applicable law remain permitted.
Third-party brands and product rights
We sell products from other brands. Their names, logos, product images, specifications and marketing materials belong to their respective owners. We display these materials to identify, describe and sell the relevant products. Display on our website does not transfer those rights to ortlux or to visitors.
Rights in a product’s appearance, technology, software and technical documentation, where applicable, remain with the relevant rights holders. We do not claim ownership of a brand’s product designs or inventions merely because we sell its products. The presence of a product here is not a statement that ortlux owns a patent, design registration or third-party trademark.
Identifying products and referring to brands
Brand and model names help identify the products being discussed. A factual product reference does not, by itself, establish a commercial relationship with the brand. Do not alter a brand’s identity or combine marks in a way that misrepresents who made a product or who has endorsed your activity.
This page does not prevent truthful reviews, comparisons or references permitted by applicable law. Nor does it treat every fact, measurement or idea as property owned by ortlux. Protection and permitted use depend on the material and the rights that actually apply.
Requesting permission
For a proposed use of the ortlux name, logo or original materials that requires permission, write to support@ortlux.com. Identify the asset, where and how you intend to use it, the channels involved and the intended period of use.
Permission to use one asset for one purpose does not establish permission for another use. Sending a request, or receiving no response, does not itself grant permission. For third-party materials, obtain any required permission from the relevant rights holder; we cannot grant rights that we do not hold.
Reporting a rights concern
Send intellectual property concerns to support@ortlux.com. Include:
- The material concerned and its location on our website, including the page URL.
- The right you believe is affected, who holds it and supporting evidence.
- Your contact details and, if you represent the rights holder, an explanation of that relationship.
We may ask for clarification to identify the material and understand the claim. A report is not, by itself, a determination of ownership or infringement. For copyright-specific reports, the Copyright Notice identifies the same contact route.
